NH Teen Speeding on I-93 Leads to Second DWI, Drug Charges

CAMPTON, NH — A New Hampshire teen will be in court next month after allegedly driving under the influence on I-93 last night, according to New Hampshire State Police. Ryan DiCicco, 19, of Hudson, was arrested on Oct. 29, 2016, for aggravated DWI, subsequent DWI, reckless driving, transporting alcohol by a minor, transporting drugs, and possession of drugs.

At a little after 11 p.m., a state trooper was monitoring traffic on I-93 in Campton when he reportedly saw a vehicle “being operated erratically that was dangerously swerving all over the roadway and traveling over the rumble strips,” according to Sgt. Victory Muzzey of the NHSP.

The trooper watched the vehicle and noticed that it was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed. He reportedly later clocked the vehicle – a 2007 Mazda 3 – going 108 mph in a 70 zone and pulled the vehicle After field sobriety tests, the driver, DiCicco, was arrested and charged. He’s due in court on Nov. 17.

“The New Hampshire State Police is dedicated to providing the highest degree of law enforcement service throughout the state of New Hampshire while maintaining the traditions of fairness,” Muzzy said in a statement, “professionalism and integrity and with respect to impaired and reckless driving, remind all drivers to be responsible, think before you drink, use a sober driver and if you are over the limit, you will be under arrest.”
