NH, VT Troopers Write 100 Speeding Tickets On I-89, I-91
Joint traffic state police enforcement effort on Sept. 1, stopped 168 vehicles on Interstates in Vermont and New Hampshire.

CONCORD, NH — Both New Hampshire and Vermont State Police held a “joint traffic enforcement operation” today on I-89 and I-91, on the first day of the Labor Day holiday weekend. The effort – held during the afternoon hours of Sept. 1, 2017 – was conducted in an effort to ensure safety and reduce crashes. During the effort, according to a press statement, NHSP stopped 125 vehicles, issued 72 speeding tickets, and 47 warnings for speeding.
Six motorists were assisted while on ticket was issued for unlawful passing and another for violating the move over law. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Concord NH Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)
One electronic handheld device violation was issued and four vehicles were stopped for hazardous operation in excess of 90 mph.

VSP stopped 43 vehicles, issued 28 speeding tickets, cited seven drivers for handheld electronic devices, issued eight written warnings, and had one hazardous operation complaint.
Both agencies, according to a press statement, will host sobriety checkpoints this week in an effort to make “highways safer for all.”
