NH Weather: Flood Watch From Heavy Rain, Snow Melting
Saturday's mix of heavy rain and rising temperatures melting snow has made flooding a serious possibility for the rest of the weekend.
CONCORD, NH — Rising temperatures are finally starting to make it feel like spring in New Hampshire. But Saturday's mix of heavy rain and rising temperatures melting snow has made flooding a serious possibility for the rest of the weekend. A flood watch is in effect from 8 p.m., Saturday until 6 p.m., Sunday.
Heavy rainfall and rapid snow-melt is likely to lead to minor to moderate flooding for much of the state, according to the National Weather Service. A few locations along the Connecticut, Pemigewasset, and Androscoggin rivers could see major flooding, but this isn't considered likely at this time.
