NHSP Traffic Stop Leads to I-93 Pursuit, Exit 13 Crash
Breaking: Troopers are looking for Jacob Jason of Pembroke after incidents in Northfield; spike strips being deployed at Exit 16.

CONCORD, NH — New Hampshire State Troopers are looking for a Pembroke man who is wanted for several offenses after allegedly fleeing a traffic stop on I-93 in Northfield, a pursuit, crash, and then foot hunt for the suspect near Exit 13. According to an alert, Jacob A. Jason, 29, of Pembroke, was reportedly driving a Volkswagen Golf in Northfield at just before 9 a.m. on Sept. 5, 2016, when a trooper stopped him for a motor vehicle violation.

After being stopped, Jason allegedly fled the scene, driving south on I-93.

“The suspect was pursued and stop sticks were deployed on I-93 in the area of Exit 16,” according to Sgt. Maurice Sampson of the NHSP. “The suspect’s vehicle drove over the stop sticks and the pursuit was terminated shortly thereafter as (it) entered the greater Concord area on I-93.”
Jason allegedly crashed his vehicle while attempting to take the Exit 13 off-ramp and fled the scene on foot. According to witnesses, Concord Police were sent in the area of the Burger King and Speedway gas station on Hall Street with guns drawn reportedly looking for the suspect.

“There is no perceived danger to the public,” according to Sampson. “This incident is currently under investigation by the New Hampshire State Police.”
