Niche’s 2022 Best New Hampshire High Schools Rankings Released

NEW HAMPSHIRE — An online survey company that connects students and parents with colleges and schools has released its 2022 high school rankings.

Niche.com, the website that has offered more than 140 million reviews and rantings of schools, has released its latest listing of America’s best high schools as well as New Hampshire’s best public and private high schools. The 2022 rankings factored in academic and student life data from thousands of schools across the country. The most important factor was academics, but Niche also looked at culture and diversity, teachers, clubs and activities, sports, and other topics.

The top-ranked public high school in the country was The Davidson Academy, located in Reno, Nevada. In the Granite State, Hanover High School was listed as the best public high school in New Hampshire.

Two of the state’s private high schools made the Top 20 national list: Phillips Exeter Academy was listed 6th best in the nation, while St. Paul’s School in Concord was 19th.

Hanover was the highest public high school ranked in the state nationally at 176th, and between 550 and 575 out of all schools.

12. Sunapee Senior High School
13. Exeter High School
14. Winnacunnet High School in Hampton
15. Hopkinton High School
16. Bow High School
17. Profile Senior High School in Bethlehem
18. Goffstown High School
19. Salem High School
20. Pinkerton Academy in Derry
21. Virtual Learning Academy Charter School (online)
22. Kearsarge Regional High School in Sutton
23. Conval Regional High School in Peterborough
24. Dover Senior High School
25. Nashua High School South

Concord High School was ranked 28th, while Nashua High School North came in at 31. Milford High School was 32nd on the list, while Merrimack High School came in at 35. The Granite State Arts Academy Charter School in Salem was ranked 40th.

Merrimack Valley High School in Penacook and the CSI Charter School in Penacook were not ranked by received overall grades of a C.
