North Chelmsford MA Woman Faces NH Wrong-Way Drunken Driving Charges

Grace Dionne was arrested early Wednesday morning, accused of driving south in the northbound lanes of Interstate 93 while intoxicated.

SANBORNTON, NH — A woman from Massachusetts was arrested early Wednesday morning accused of wrong-way drunken driving on Interstate 93.

Just before 1 a.m., New Hampshire State Police dispatch began receiving reports about a car traveling south in the northbound lane of Interstate 93, Tyler Dumont, a public information officer for the department, said.

“Initial callers reported the car in Ashland,” he said. “Additional callers reported the vehicle at high speeds in the left lane, headed south.”

A Sanbornton police officer found the vehicle and stopped the driver. A state trooper then arrived. After an investigation, Grace E. Dionne, 22, of North Chelmsford, MA, was arrested on reckless conduct with a deadly weapon and driving while intoxicated charges. Dumont said she was released on personal recognizance and will be arraigned in Franklin District Court later.
