NWS: Tornado Confirmed in Warner
Wind speeds of up to 75 mph struck on July 30; first known tornado of 2015 for New Hampshire.
The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado did hit the town of Warner last week.
The NWS reported on Friday that the tornado hit at just before 6 p.m. on July 30, 2015, with wind speeds of around 75 mph. The tornado’s path was about 100 yards and last for a little less than half a mile.
The NWS reported that the information was still “preliminary” and subject to change pending publication of the NWS storm data.

The tornado touched down near Route 103 just east of Exit 9 on I-89 and then moved northeast crossing Split Rock Road and lifting off the ground just prior to Kearsarge Mountain Road.
“The most significant damage occurred between split Rock and Kearsarge Mountain Roads where the tornado snapped or uprooted about 25 trees and tore a portion of the roof off a large storage building,” according to the report.
