Old Turnpike Road Crash Sends 1 To Concord Hospital: Watch

Concord police were sent to a two-vehicle crash where a pedestrian was struck on Saturday.

CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating a two-vehicle accident where a pedestrian was also struck on Saturday.

Just before 7:15 p.m., police were sent to a report of a crash in front of the transfer station, according to dispatch. When police arrived, they learned the crash was between a Nissan Sentra and a Jeep and immediately called for fire and rescue teams. The Jeep had airbags deployed. The crash was confined to the left lane, an officer said.

The first responding officer requested other officers to shut down both sides of the road.

The pedestrian was injured and a tourniquet was placed on their leg. No one else was injured, police said.

After the person was taken to the hospital, an officer went to interview them.

Around 7:45 p.m., one of the drivers was given a field sobriety test.
