One Dead, Another Injured After Incident In Concord’s South End
Police are investigating a man who died of a gunshot wound on Monroe Street on Sunday night as well as another person who was injured.
CONCORD, NH — Concord police were on Monroe Street investigating the death of a man and another person who was injured after an incident on Sunday night.
Just before 9 p.m., police dispatch received information about two 911 calls requesting police to come to the home of a man who was found dead. Concord fire and rescue teams were also requested. When police arrived, they found a woman who was outside screaming and a man with a gunshot wound to the head. Firefighters and EMTs staged.
After the scene was cleared, firefighters and EMTs entered the home and declared the man dead. They also reported another person inside the house who was injured. That person was taken to Concord Hospital. An officer rode along in the ambulance to the hospital.

An officer stated they confiscated a shotgun from the home, according to scanner chatter.
Neighbors who were questioned told police they had seen the victim about five hours before. An officer said they also did not hear any fighting or anything inside the home. Other people also arrived at the house and were questioned by police.
