One Driver Taken To The Hospital After Crash In Bow On Route 3A

Video: A Unitil pole was snapped during a crash near Vaughn Road in Bow on Sunday.

BOW, NH — Bow fire and rescue teams and police were sent to a two-vehicle crash with a broken utility pole on Route 3A Sunday.

Around 4:30 p.m., Merrimack County and Capital Region Fire dispatch began receiving reports of a crash near Vaughn Road. The first arriving officer said the crash involved two SUVs, and there were injuries, but they did not appear significant. One vehicle crashed into a utility pole, they said. The officer said the utility pole seemed to be snapped about midway up.

The vehicles were a Honda CR-V and a Subaru Forester.

The fire commander said the pole sustained damage and Unitil would need to be contacted. One driver was also taken to Concord Hospital around 4:45 p.m.

Firefighters cleared the scene just after 5 p.m. Tow trucks were called to the scene to remove the SUVs.
