Out-of-Control Teen Arrested at Group Home

Concord Police allege that Michael Villeneuve threw a water bottle at a staffer, smashed a dumbbell against a car.

A local teen is facing two charges after an incident at a group home in the city.

Michael Villeneuve, 17, of Concord, was arrested at 6:18 p.m. on July 31, and charged with simple assault (personal weapons) and criminal mischief (vandalism).

According to arrest and court documents, Concord Police officers were called to North Main Street, the Child and Family Services Group Home, for a report of a teenager who threw a water bottle at a staff member, striking the staffer in the leg.

As officers arrived at the scene, one reportedly heard the teen, later identified as Michael Villeneuve, agree to get in the vehicle to leave.

The officers approached a DCYF staffer who had called 911 who alleged that when he arrived at the home to take Villeneuve to Nashua, he refused, and would not get in the vehicle.

“(The employee) stated that Villeneuve started to escalate and got verbally loud and used profanity,” the report alleged.

The employee alleged that Villeneuve stood up in a common area of the home and threw a water bottle at him, striking him in the thigh, so the employee called police. The employee also alleged that Villeneuve picked up a set of 50 lb. dumbbell weights, walked over to the staffer's 2008 Toyota Corolla, and smashed the passenger side rear door. The door had dents and scratches on it, the officer reported.

The employee said he was concerned about traveling with him and stated that Villeneuve had not been this way in the past. However, according to the report, other employees were “fearful of Villeneuve’s behavior as he had several outbursts during this 3 weeks in their care,” with staffers worrying that Villeneuve would put “staff and other residents at risk.”

Villeneuve was arrested and charged.
