Over 600 Concord Kids Learned to Swim

Children jumped into pools across the city thanks to Concord Housing + Redevelopment's $10,000 sponsorship of parks and rec program.

More than 600 children jumped into pools across the city, thanks to Concord Housing + Redevelopment’s $10,000 sponsorship of the Concord Parks and Recreation Department program. Children from Concord and Penacook enjoyed free lessons as a record number of families took advantage of the program offered at Heights, Garrison, Merrill, Rolfe and Rollins Pools. Learning to swim is an integral part of a child’s safety and development. Many children who already knew how to swim became even more confident after two weeks in the program. The swim program has been a blessing for many families— providing their children with the important skill of swimming without the financial concern. Concord Housing + Redevelopment is happy to have another opportunity to impact the young lives in our communities.
