Overdose Lands Pittsfield Man with Felony Drug Charge
Trevor Keene treated at Concord Hospital.

A man will be arraigned next week on a felony drug charge after reportedly OD’ing on heroin last month.
Trevor Keene, 33, of Pittsfield, was arrested at 12:30 p.m. on June 11, on a felony possession of controlled drugs charge.
An officer was sent to the Concord Hospital emergency room for a report of a patient in possession of narcotics, according to an arrest report.

Hospital security handed a bag with a box holding two hypodermic needles, a rubber tourniquet, a cough medicine measuring cup, a cotton swab and ball, and heroin residue. Security reported that the man who owned the box, Keene, allegedly overdosed and was brought to the hospital by his wife.
Keene’s wife reportedly told the officer that he had injected the heroin while seated in the back of a truck at a friend’s house. The officer reported that the wife confirmed that the items were Keene’s but did not divulge the address of the friend.

In another area, Keene was reportedly alert and wanted to leave. A backup unit was called in. Keene “was irritated” that the police were called, alleging the doctors told him they wouldn’t be called.
Keene reportedly challenged the officers when asked about the kit, saying he didn’t give anyone permission to enter his truck. The officers, however, pointed out to Keene that they didn’t enter his truck. Keene then denied the kit was his, according to the officer.
The residue test came back positive for heroin and he was arrested. He was later released on $10,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in court on July 15.
Keene is no stranger to trouble. In August 2012, he was accused of breaking into a friend’s home, stealing pills, and assaulting him with a dumbbell, while the man was sleeping, according to press reports. He reportedly has a lengthy criminal record, according to the reports.
