Overdose Reported At Homeless Camp Along Downtown Concord Railroad Tracks: Watch

A teen was taken to the hospital after she was revived with several hits of Narcan Monday at a camp behind the liquor commission building.

CONCORD, NH — Concord police and fire and rescue teams were sent to the railroad tracks behind Market Basket on Storrs Street for an overdose.

Just before 7 p.m., police dispatch received a call about a man who heard a woman screaming from the bushes behind the store saying she was overdosing. Later, dispatch said a man told a homeless couple a woman was overdosing. A man began CPR and Narcan on the woman, dispatch said, before officers arrived.

Multiple police officers arrived as well as firefighters and EMTs were sent. The first arriving officer stated the woman was actually behind the old liquor commission building — not far where the dead body of another homeless camper was found a year and a month ago.

After giving the woman, who was 19, about to turn 20, four or five Narcan doses, she was revived. The officer said the woman was coherent, answering questions, and had vomited.

The woman was taken to Concord Hospital later.
