Overnight Lane Closures Planned On Interstate 93 In Concord Through June 12

Northbound and southbound traffic on I-93 in Concord will face overnight lane closures for median survey work.

CONCORD, NH — Drivers on Interstate 93 in Concord should expect overnight lane closures this week as the New Hampshire Department of Transportation carries out median survey work along a stretch of the highway.

The work is scheduled nightly between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. from Monday, June 8, through Friday, June 12, weather permitting.

According to NHDOT, the high-speed lane will be closed in one direction at a time to accommodate the survey operations. Work will begin on the northbound side of I-93 and then move to the southbound side. On Friday, only southbound work will be permitted.

The work zone runs from Mile Marker 35.8, just north of the Interstate 89 interchange, to Mile Marker 40 at the Merrimack River Bridge. NHDOT said motorists should expect traffic impacts in the area and use caution while traveling through the work zone. Drivers are also reminded to slow down, stay alert, and follow posted signs and directions from on-site personnel.

The department said message boards, traffic control devices, and other safety measures will be used to notify drivers of lane closures and changes in traffic patterns.
