Parking Ban Declared In Concord Amid Winter Storm
Concord is under a winter storm warning until 7 p.m. Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
CONCORD, NH — A parking ban is in effect for Concord on Saturday night as a winter storm dumps heavy snow on parts of south-central New Hampshire.
The ban is in effect from midnight until 7 a.m. Sunday, according to a Concord city alert. During the ban, on-street parking is prohibited throughout the city.
Anyone who violates the parking ban may be ticketed or towed, according to the city.

"Please move your car off the street to help the plows clear snow," the city alert reads. "Cars not removed from the street can impede snow removal and block plows, especially on narrow streets."
During the ban, free parking is available in the city garages from Saturday through 8 a.m. Monday for permit/lease spaces and 9 a.m. for metered spaces. Public parking garages include the School Street Garage, State Street Garage and Storrs Street Garage.

Penacook residents may park at the Canal Street Municipal Parking Lot at the corner of Village and Canal streets near Chief's Restaurant.
Concord remains under a winter storm warning until 7 p.m. Saturday. According to the National Weather Service, the storm is expected to bring periods of heavy snowfall to south-central New Hampshire through this morning. The snow will taper off late Saturday morning before picking up again Saturday afternoon.
A total of 8 to 14 inches of snowfall is expected, according to forecasts.
The storm is also expected to produce strong gusty winds which could lead to power outages and whiteout conditions.
