Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck By Car In Concord On Fisherville Road

Concord police say the pedestrian was rushed to Concord Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries there after being struck by a vehicle.

CONCORD, NH — A pedestrian died Wednesday morning after being struck by a vehicle on Fisherville Road in Concord, according to police.

Around 5:50 a.m., police and fire personnel were called to Fisherville Road near Dunkin' Donuts to respond to the crash. Police said the pedestrian was rushed to Concord Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities have not released the victim's identity. The victim was described in the call to police dispatch as an elderly man.

When the first officer arrived, they confirmed a man was down, on the ground, and was unresponsive. CPR was performed on the man while other officers went to the scene, shutting the road down at Mayflower Drive.

Fisherville Road was closed for several hours, as investigators collected evidence. It has since reopened.

Officers spoke to witnesses, including Dunkin’ employees. Police said the crash remains under investigation.
