Pedestrian Struck, Killed on I-393
Breaking: NHSP are investigating why Taylor Farris of Pembroke was standing on the highway near Exit 2 in Concord at 11:30 p.m. last night.

CONCORD, NH — A 24-year-old man was struck and killed last night on I-393, according to New Hampshire State Police. Taylor Farris, 24, of Pembroke, was hit at around 11:30 p.m. on July 29, 2016, in the area between Exit 2 and Exit 1 on the westbound side of the highway. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene due to the crash, according to Sgt. B. Vigilone of the NHSP.
“The preliminary investigation indicates Farris was standing in the right lane of Interstate 393 when he was struck,” Vigilone stated. “This particular area of the roadway is not well lit. The vehicle involved was traveling west bound on Interstate 393 in the right lane and struck Farris. The right lane of Interstate 393 was shut down for approximately 2.5 hours.”
At this time, it appears there are no factors of driver impairment in this crash however all aspects remain under investigation, Vigilone noted. According to his online profile, Farris was a 2009 graduate of Pembroke Academy.
