Pedestrian Struck On North State Street In Concord, Traffic Re-Routed

Update: Police are investigating an accident after Concord EMTs took an unresponsive woman to Concord Hospital on Friday.

CONCORD, NH — Concord police are re-routing traffic on North State Street after a pedestrian was struck near Dolan Street on Friday.

Around 10:45 a.m., an officer reported to dispatch that a woman in the roadway was unresponsive but breathing and requested fire and rescue teams to the scene and another unit for traffic. The officer said the woman appeared to have been hit and thrown about 30 feet.

Later, police confirmed the woman endured severe injuries.

The roadway was closed, and traffic was re-routed. Concord EMTs took the woman to the hospital. The vehicle involved was reportedly a Honda.

At post time, the roadway is still closed.

During the course of attempting to re-route traffic, police reported a second accident near the Hood plant.

Around 3:15 p.m., Concord firefighters were requested back to the scene to assist with the cleanup of debris.
