Pembroke Fire Extinguishes Pickup Truck Fire On Route 106: Video
Sheep Davis Road, not far from the Concord line, was closed for about 45 minutes on Friday afternoon.
PEMBROKE, NH — Police are investigating why a pickup truck caught fire on Route 106 in Pembroke on Friday afternoon.
Around 4:45 p.m., police and fire and rescue teams were called to the area of Sheep Davis Road and Keith Avenue for a report of a vehicle on fire. Police first arrived at the scene and reported flames appearing from the engine area after the truck stopped on the side of the road. Police also reported some trees caught on fire.
As firefighters arrived, they confirmed the truck was fully engulfed in flames.

“We’re closing down 106,” the battalion commander told the Capital Region Fire Dispatch just before 5 p.m.
Police attempted to reroute traffic around Commerce Way and more teams of firefighters arrived.

A commander reported the majority of the fire was knocked down just before 5:15 p.m. They said they hoped to open one lane of the highway by around 5:30 p.m.
News 603 recorded firefighters dousing the truck and posted it on Facebook.
The condition of the driver and cause of the fire is unknown at post time.
