POLICE LOG: Pembroke Woman Arrested For Assault
The following information was supplied by the Concord Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

- Christopher William Corliss, 22, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 7:59 p.m. on Jan. 10, and charged with simple assault (personal weapons) and resisting arrest or detention. Officers were dispatched to Village Street for a domestic disturbance. According to dispatch, Corliss had allegedly assaulted a family member at the address earlier in the day but had left the scene. The officers investigated the matter and alleged that Corliss was intoxicated and had started an argument with a woman at the home. He left but later returned to pick up some belongings, the reported stated. While doing so, Corliss reportedly got into another argument. Several men at the home allegedly had to physically restrain Corliss. An officer saw a damaged door at the home and a picture on the floor that was not damaged. The family member’s neck was red with several red scratches right near the ear. She alleged that Corliss had pushed her backwards and pushed her behind the door. The woman did not lose consciousness and did not have difficult breathing, the officer reported. One of the witnesses alleged that Corliss threatened to kill her during the assault. The witness stated that Corliss probably went to his father’s house. An officer and personnel from the sheriff’s department reached out to Corliss on Boyce Road in Canterbury and made contact with him. The officer alleged that Corliss would not allow himself to be cuffed and they had to force him over a vehicle to cuff him. Corliss reportedly stated that he had gotten into a fight with his ex-girlfriend because she allegedly threatened to not let him see his child again. He then got kicked out of the house. Corless refused bail and was arraigned on Jan. 11.
- Joy Ellen Braley, 46, of Concord, was arrested at 1:34 p.m. on Jan. 10, on a bench warrant. An officer was dispatched to Loudon Road for a possible criminal threatening complaint. The officer was advised while on his way to the incident that Braley had a bench warrant out for her arrest. She was taken into custody with $285 cash bail due on an original charge of driving after revocation or suspension. Braley was released on $500 personal recognizance bail.
- Nancy Phyllis McMahon, 51, of Concord, arrested on 2:54 p.m. on Jan. 10, on a theft by unauthorized taking, felony, due to two previous misdemeanors. Officers were sent to Sears on Loudon Road for a report of two adult women being detained for shoplifting. The loss prevention officer said she saw both of them standing together and then McMahon allegedly grabbed a Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner, valued at $60, and left the store without paying for it. Other items were paid for but not the vacuum cleaner. The other woman was allowed to leave the store, according to the report. McMahon was convicted in Hillsborough Superior Court on a theft charge on Oct. 5, 2007, and a shoplifting charge on Sept. 12, 2008.
- Tamah A. Desbiens, 41, of Pembroke, was arrested at 2:55 a.m. on Jan. 12, on a simple assault (personal weapons). Officers were called to Lilac Street for a report of a domestic disturbance with a man injured. One officer spoke to the man who alleged that his girlfriend, Desbiens, started punching and kicking him, as well as ripping his shirt. He stated that they were at a friends’ house when she allegedly began to get angry and the friends asked them to leave. The officer reportedly observed blood below the man’s right ear. The man reported that he had been staying with Desbiens about two weeks. Desbiens was seated on a bed and spoke with an officer. She allegedly appeared sullen and would not answer any questions stating she did not know what happened. Based on the information, Desbiens was arrested, although she reportedly stated during the booking process that the wrong person was arrested. Desbiens was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and was arraigned on Feb. 11.
- Kalan Cleary, 22, of Concord, was arrested at 2:01 p.m. on Feb. 19, and charged with sale of controlled drugs, a felony, and possession of controlled drugs. The sale charge stems from an alleged incident on June 26, 2012. When he was arrested, police allege that Cleary was possession of three grams of marijuana valued at $80, along with smoking devices with burnt residue. He was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and had a court date on March 25.
- Kendrick Waddell, 41, of Concord, was arrested at 2:45 p.m. on Feb. 21, on a theft by unauthorized taking or transfer charge.
- Kathy Mae Potter, 51, of Boscawen, received a summons at 2:50 p.m. on Feb. 21, on a transportation of alcohol/open container charge. An officer was called to the New Hampshire Liquor Store on Storrs Street for a report of a theft of vodka from the store. Dispatch advised to be looking for a man in a white Kia Spectra. The store alleged that the man paid for one bottle while putting another bottle in his backpack and not paying for it. When the officer arrived, he reportedly found the Kia parked outside the Market Basket in the fire lane. The officer spoke to Potter, who was in the driver’s seat, and she reportedly told the officer that she had brought her friend, Waddell, to the liquor store. She reportedly showed the officer a bag on the floor of the vehicle with a bottle of vodka and a sales receipt. The officer allegedly observed two open containers of 24-ounce Natural Ice Beer on in the area of the front passenger’s seat and another tucked in the pocket of the seat and Potter was issued a summons to appear in court on an open container charge on March 25. Kendrick then reportedly came out of the store with a backpack over his shoulder and multiple shopping bags. He alleged confirmed that he had been at the liquor store but denied stealing anything. The officer requested that Kendrick open up his backpack and he obliged. The officer allegedly saw a bottle of vodka in the bag. Kendrick allegedly stated that it was an older bottle and was open. However, the officer stated that it appeared to be full. Kendrick later allegedly stated that he bought two bottles at the store and reached for the receipt that only showed one bottle purchased. Kendrick was arrested while another officer gathered up evidence from the store including statements and video. Kendrick was later released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and was arraigned on March 25.
- Matthew W. Rosen, 25, of Concord, was arrested at 10:45 a.m. on March 13, on an unsworn falsification charge from the Concord Police Department from Oct. 23, 2012. On March 12, an officer reached out to Rosen to request that he turn himself in on the charge. Rosen allegedly told the officer he needed to speak to his mother and his attorney first. The next day, after hearing nothing from Rosen, a unit check was put on Rosen and he was arrested at his home on Dwinnell Drive. Rosen was reportedly sleeping at home. He was arrested and transported to the station. Later, he was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and has a court date on April 15.
- Charles A. Cruz, 37, of the state prison in Berlin, was arrested at 12:20 p.m. on March 16, on a burglary felony charge from June 14, 2010, on South Main Street. The alleged victim in the case was a Concord woman. Police allege that a computer, a Wii game system, a Nikon camera, an LL Bean bag, and money, all valued at around $1,000, were stolen. A DNA swap sample taken in 2011 was also listed as evidence in the case. Cruz was arraigned remotely on March 18.
- Amanda Rae Pelissier, 27, of Tilton, was arrested at 9:19 a.m. on March 17, on a bench warrant and a summons for speeding. While parked at the intersection of South Main and Pleasant streets, an officer allegedly observed a Dodge minivan pass by at a high rate of speed. The officer activated the radar and the readout display allegedly stated 42 miles per hour in a 30 zone. The officer pulled the minivan over at the intersection of Loudon Road and Bridge Street. Dispatch advised that the owner of the vehicle, Pelissier, had an active warrant out of Berlin District Court on Jan. 13, for a willful concealment/shoplifting charge. There were three small children in the minivan and the officer allowed Pelissier to make arrangements for them to be picked up by a friend. Bail was set at $200 cash and she was released with an arraignment date of April 29, in Berlin.
- Tony Bumpas, 24, of Pittsfield, was arrested at 7:57 a.m. on March 19, on a bench warrant from Nashua District Court. Officers were called to Concord Hospital to investigate a disruptive subject. En route, dispatch advised that the individual, Bumpas, had a warrant for his arrest, with $2,000 cash to settle. According to a hospital security officer, Bumpas was “uncooperative to medical staff,” an interaction that was recorded on cellphone video. The security officer alleged that Bumpas appeared to be under the influence of drugs. In the Yeaple Building, he was handcuffed and transported to headquarters. However, Bumpas reportedly kept nodding off and was taken back to Concord Hospital for a medical evaluation. About 45 minutes later, he was cleared and transported back to headquarters. He had a court date on March 19.
- Joshua Pratt, 25, of Goffstown, was arrested at 4:35 p.m. on March 20, on a default or breach of bail conditions charge. Pratt turned himself into police. The warrant stemmed from an incident that occurred on March 17. He was held on $1,000 cash bail and was arraigned from jail on March 21.
