Penacook Man Arrested On Crack Cocaine Possession, Other Charges

Hooksett Police: Michael Neuberger allegedly gave a false name after being questioned near a vehicle with a woman with a protective order.

HOOKSETT, NH — A Concord man was arrested on charges after allegedly giving police a false name while being questioned in the parking lot of a gas station in Hooksett, according to police. Michael Neuberger, 29, of Penacook, was arrested on Sept. 4, 2017, for possession of drugs-crack cocaine, obstruction government administration, and a warrant out of Merrimack District Court for failure to appear. At just before 8 p.m. on Monday, an officer saw a man and woman in the parking lot of the Circle K on Bell Avenue and ran the plate of the vehicle.

“Information that came back on the license plate informed (the) officer that the female owner of the vehicle had an active protection order against a male,” according to Sgt. The man – later identified as Neuberger – allegedly gave the officer a name that didn’t come back to anyone. He also reportedly repeatedly put his hands into his pants pockets against the instructions of the officer.

“(The) officer began to conduct a search for weapons when a white rock substance, believed to be crack cocaine, fell out of the male’s pants,” Zappala alleged. “The male later admitted to the substance being crack cocaine and correctly identified himself.”

Neuberger had an active bench warrant and was arrested and charged. He was released on personal recognizance bail ad is due in court on Sept. 21.
