Penacook Man Indicted for Choking Woman in Litchfield
Christian Davis faces numerous charges in Hillsborough Court.

A local man was indicted recently in Hillsborough Superior Court for numerous charges after allegedly assaulting a woman in Litchfield in September 2014.
Christian Davis, 24, of Snow Street in Penacook, was indicted for three counts of second-degree assault, all felonies, three counts of simple assault, and single counts of criminal threatening and endangering the welfare of a child.
On Sept. 1, 2014, in Litchfield, Davis allegedly strangled a woman by “squeezing her throat, causing her to experience impeded breathing” three different times. He also allegedly pulled a phone cord around her neck, grabbed her arm, and spit in her face. The indictment also alleges that he stated to the woman, “Your daughter is going to watch you die,” or words to that effect, and knowingly endangered the welfare of a 1-year-old by allegedly violating a duty of care and by assaulting the woman who was holding the child, causing the child to fall and hit her head.
