Penacook Village Tree Lighting Goes On Without A Hitch

Watch: Revelers welcome the holiday season to Penacook for the 18th time.

CONCORD, NH — The city’s second Christmas tree lighting event was held in Penacook Village on Wednesday.

Attendees to the Boudreau Square event enjoyed carols, cider, and cookies, and Santa visited later. This year, lights were also installed on the village square gazebo.

It was the 18th time the tree lighting was held in Penacook. Ward 1 Concord City Councilor Brent Todd thanked everyone for attending and also offered thanks for former Councilor Liz Blancard for helping to get the event started nearly two decades ago.
