According to an arrest report and court affidavit, a man and a woman at the home reported that the woman, Michaud, went to the bathroom and was in there for more than 15 minutes. The two “grew suspicious” and the woman asked the man to go to the bathroom to check on her. The man went into the bathroom and allegedly found “Michaud with a needle in her arm,” according to the report. The man gathered up her belongings, including a small blue bag, and Michaud allegedly “became enraged and tried to get the bag back, eventually knocking it out of his grasp and spilling the contents onto the floor.”

The man alleged that more hypodermic needles, a couple of spoons, and pills, fell out of the bag, according to the report.

During the altercation, Michaud allegedly told the man that she didn’t have anymore drugs so he didn’t have to worry about her going downtown. She then went over and woke up her daughter and continued to argue about the situation. The man alleged that she struck him with her hand, “while still holding the child.”

Michaud then went to leave and allegedly pushed the woman while trying to get out of the house. She allegedly grabbed another child by the hair and dragged the girl out of the house, without any shoes on, in the middle of a rainstorm.

The woman called police and the officer showed up with additional units, including the New Hampshire State Police K9 unit, attempting to find Michaud and the children.

Just as they began to set up a command to try and find all involved, a woman in a van showed up and asked if police were looking for Michaud. The woman stated that Michaud called her for a ride while walking on Mountain Road. The woman stated she couldn’t find Michaud anywhere, so she began search the area, including Shaker Road.

While speaking to the officer, the woman’s phone rang and it was Michaud. The officer requested that she answer it and got into the van after she was told to come over to the Shaker Road School on Shaker Road. The woman headed over there but Michaud was not in the area.

They called her back and were told to head to Mountain Road again. The woman and the officer found a young girl running to the van and later, Michaud allegedly stopped out of the shadows and handed over her baby to the officer.

Michaud was arrested and held on $8,000 cash bail. She was arraigned on June 16.
