Pharmacy Tech Charged with DUI-Drugs

CONCORD, NH — A Vermont pharmacy technician with connections to the capital region was arrested this morning for driving under the influence, according to New Hampshire State Police. Shelly Sechrest, 54, of Springfield, VT, was arrested on Oct. 14, 2016, for driving under the influence (drugs).

According to state police, at around 9 a.m. this morning, troopers began receiving reports about an SUV that was “all over the road” and passing multiple motorists as it was driving southbound on I-89 near Exit 11 in Grantham. Troopers stopped the 1999 Jeep Wrangle near Exit 9, according to Staff Sgt. Charles W. Johnston of the NHSP.

“Sechrest, a pharmacy technician in Springfield, VT, informed the arresting trooper she had knowingly exceeded the recommended dosage of her prescription medication,” Johnston alleged.

Sechrest was arrested and charged, and is due in court on Nov. 15.

According to online reports, Sechrest worked for The Prescription Center in Downtown Concord between 2007 and 2009 and used to live in Concord.
