A few minutes later, dispatch sent Concord firefighters and EMTs, and police dispatch sent officers, to the scene. The Salisbury commander said the driver was not injured, but they were trying to get him out. They also reported a small fuel leak in the water.

When Concord responders arrived, the driver was out of the vehicle and confirmed to be OK. The vehicle, a Toyota pickup truck, was partially submerged in the water. One fire engine stayed with police while other firefighters were cleared.
