Pickup Truck Rollover Reported On River Road In Penacook

Video: The road was closed on Sunday for more than an hour after a single vehicle rollover crash.

CONCORD, NH — A rollover crash was reported on River Road on Sunday afternoon.

Around 1:45 p.m., Concord police and fire and rescue teams were sent to River Road near the intersection of Island Road for a crash report. Dispatch said the driver did not hit anything and he had some bumps and bruises. As officers arrived, backup was requested so they could close off traffic to the street at both Borough Road and Bog Road.

The officer said the driver was “alert and conscious, speaking with fire,” according to scanner chatter.

The truck was a 1500 and the driver was in his late 60s. He was evaluated by EMTs and they cleared while firefighters assisted in blocking traffic.

Just before 2:30 p.m., AAA arrived to tow the vehicle, but the driver did not have the capability to flip the truck over, so Patsy’s was sent to the scene.
