Police: Couple From Franklin Tried to Prostitute Minor

A couple from Franklin is behind bars today on various charges in connection with the attempted prostitution of a minor.
William Shine, 33, and Julie Shine, 41, both of Franklin, were arrested at around 6 p.m. on Nov. 25, on attempted prostitution of a minor and conspiracy to commit aggravated felonious sexual assault charges, both felonies.
They were held on $100,000 cash bail last night and were scheduled to be arraigned this morning in Sixth Circuit Court in Concord.

State police say the Franklin Police and the Merrimack County Attorney’s Office assisted with the arrest and investigation.

According to online reports, William Shine owns a company called Redneck Hauling on Fenton Avenue in Laconia. Julie Shine, according to Facebook, is originally from Bristol.
