Police Investigating 'Threat' at Bishop Brady High School

Concord Catholic school was placed in "modified lock down" this afternoon; police investigating alleged threat made by student.

Bishop Brady High School on Columbus Avenue was placed on “modified lock down” earlier today due to a report of an outside threat at the school, according to Principal Andrea Elliot.

The school was put in lockdown by Concord Police at around 2 p.m. on Dec. 4, 2015.

According to Lt. Timothy O’Malley, the commander of the criminal investigations unit for the Concord Police Department, police “are investigating an alleged threat made toward the school” and have “made contact with the alleged suspect and are now trying to determine if in fact a threat was even made.”

About 30 minutes later, the school was cleared of any potential outside threat and the lockdown was lifted after police determined that there weren’t any problems at the school. Police, according to O’Malley, are continuing to investigate the threat.

Parents received two alerts from the school about the threat by email and some students were texting their parents about the lockdown. Students and parents have informed Concord NH Patch that the threat reportedly involved a student threatening to shoot other students at the school.
