“It appears that the dog may have been chained to the fence for several hours prior to being discovered,” according to Lt. John Thomas, a watch commander with the department.
The dog had a gray cloth collar without tags. It is white and gray and weighs about 110 to 120 lbs. A foster family, according to Thomas, is currently caring for the Malamute.
