In the news today it is reported that a Pro-Putin billionaire has donated to both Republican and Democratic election coffers. This needs to be rejected and monies returned forthwith or donate them to a Ukranian refugee food and well being program. We cannot allow donations from sources who are likely expecting a return on their investment to campaigns to stand.
We as a country are voting through our elected officials for sanctions against Putin and to have a lackey of his trying to grease some skids is totally improper and should be rejected immediately by either party receiving such a donation.
To those receiving monies, if it is kept, it will result in political damage to your campaigns and they are going to be rough enough this cycle without adding international issues of financing to them.

Part of the story is "Blavatnik and his wife have each donated $32,400 to the Democratic Congressional Committee. They also supported Ohio Republican Rep. John Boehner ($5,200), New Hampshire Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen ($2,600), Maine Republican Sen. Susan Collins ($2,600), Minnesota Democatic Sen. Al Franken ($5,000) and others.
Every single donation lists Blavatnik’s occupation as chairman and director of Access Industries, an international industrial company which he founded in 1987. His company has contributed $1,426,391 million to candidates since 1996 and spent more than $720,000 on lobbying since 2011, according to OpenSecrets.org." with more at the link below.
