Possible Hazardous Substance Reported At NH State Hospital

Breaking: Concord Fire and Rescue teams and state officials were called to the Brown Building at the Gallen state complex today.

CONCORD, NH — Concord Fire and Rescue teams as well as the state police and the fire marshal’s office were called to the state hospital grounds this morning for a report of a hazmat situation, according to reports and alerts online. Limited information is available at post time but according to Concord Fire Chief Dan Andrus, Concord teams were sent to the Brown Building – the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services – at just before 11:30 a.m. on March 19, 2018, for a report of a possible hazardous substance in the building. Rockingham Alert also posted information on Twitter at just after noon.

The teams arrived in about five minutes and the scene was declared under control at just before 1:30 p.m., he noted. Concord Firefighters were off-scene at just before 2 p.m., Andrus said.
