Powerball Leaps To $700 Million; 5th-Highest In History; 3 $50,000 Winners
The three winning $50,000 tickets from Saturday were sold in Atkinson, Rochester, and Somersworth; drawing held Wednesday.

CONCORD, NH — If anyone wins the Powerball jackpot on Wednesday, which is expected to be around $700 million, they will have won the fifth-highest Powerball jackpot in history.
With no winner on Monday and the jackpot increasing, it is expected to surpass the previous fifth-place jackpot, a $699.8 million prize from October 2021.
Three lucky players purchased $50,000 winning tickets for the drawing on Saturday, according to the New Hampshire Lottery. The winning tickets were purchased at Sunoco on Hall Farm Road in Atkinson, Market Basket on Market Place Boulevard in Rochester, and the NH Liquor and Wine Outlet on High Street in Somersworth. The three $50,000 winners come after two players purchased $50,000 winning tickets for the drawing last Wednesday.

“Now, with what would be one of the top 10 largest Powerball jackpots in history and with five $50,000 Powerball winners in the last two drawings, could a jackpot winner here in New Hampshire be next?,” Charlie McIntyre, the executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery, said. “Players are jumping at this opportunity to become New Hampshire’s next multi-millionaire.”
Tickets are on sale at more than 1,200 retailers statewide and online at NH iLottery.
