Prepare for Helicopter Noise Around NH
Eversource is performing statewide air patrols of its transmission system this week.

Through Oct. 23, 2015, Eversource NH, the state’s largest electric utility, is conducting air patrols via helicopter of its transmission system.
The patrols are part of the company’s “routine inspection program for the maintenance of its transmission system,” according to a notice sent to municipalities around New Hampshire.
Residents with farm animals like horses that might be sensitive to helicopter noise are being warned to be prepared for the random flyovers. The patrols are being held – weather permitting – throughout the state but officials could not specifically comment on where exactly each flyover would take place in each Granite State community with transmission lines.
