Prepare For Stormy Weather, NH

It's hot right now but the National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the future: Scattered showers, gusty wind.

GRAY, ME — The precipitation scene in New Hampshire has been a mixed bag of late. Forecasters see what they think they see on the horizon, they let everyone know, and then, we let you know. Better to be safe than sorry, as the saying goes.

The latest alert – issued at 3:09 a.m. on July 20, 2017 – covers Merrimack, eastern and central Hillsborough, and both interior and coastal Rockingham Counties, and warns of possible storms later today and tonight.

“Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and overnight with the potential for heavy downpours and isolated gusty winds,” according to the alert.
