Puleo Joins Association for Healthcare Philanthropy Board

Executive director of Concord Hospital Trust joins board of the world's largest association for health care fundraising professionals.

Pamela Puleo, FAHP, CFRE, executive director of Concord Hospital Trust in Concord, has been elected to the 2015 Board of Directors of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP).

AHP is an international professional organization dedicated to developing the men and women who encourage charity for nonprofit hospitals and health care institutions. The association’s 5,000 members represent more than 2,200 health care organizations in North America and abroad, raising more than $10 billion each year for community health services (www.ahp.org).

As part of Concord Hospital’s senior management team, Puleo also serves as vice president for community affairs, overseeing a division that includes volunteer services, hospitality services, public affairs and marketing. She has nearly 30 years of experience in philanthropy, volunteer management and public relations for nonprofit organizations and has achieved the highest level of certification in the field of health care philanthropy, Fellow of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (FAHP).

Puleo is an active leader in the development community and has served as a board member for New Hampshire’s CONFR (Council on Fundraising), board member and president for the New England Association for Healthcare Philanthropy and board member for AHP, including terms as treasurer, vice chair for education and certification and vice chair for membership and communications.

In addition, Puleo has been a member of numerous community boards and committees in New Hampshire, including Special Olympics, United Way Merrimack-Concord SPCA, CATCH, Early Learning New Hampshire, and the Steering Committee for the Coalition to End Homelessness. She currently is a faculty member at New England College in their Graduate Studies Program and serves on the Phenix Mutual Board in Concord.
