Reports: Double Fatal Crash On Interstate 89 In Concord
Update: New Hampshire State Police are investigating two-vehicle accident with a tractor-trailer involved on I-89 south near Exit 2.
CONCORD, NH — Concord fire and rescue teams have taken at least one person to Concord Hospital after a double fatal accident on Interstate 89 on Friday.
Around 8:30 a.m., dispatch began receiving calls about a motor vehicle crash, with a person trapped inside one of the vehicles, at Mile Marker 1.1 in the area of Exit 2 on the southbound onramp. The first arriving firefighters reported a three vehicle accident — two vehicles had crashed and a tractor-trailer truck was involved with one person entrapped in a vehicle.

At first, Concord EMTs reported a single fatality with one person prepped to be taken to Concord Hospital. Moments later, firefighters discovered a second fatality.
According to witnesses, one vehicle crashed into the back of the truck and became stuck underneath the trailer.

The southbound side of the highway is closed. Traffic, according to witnesses, is backed up for miles as state police re-route drivers from the area.
