RI Man Falls Asleep at the Wheel, Crashes Truck: NHSP
Two were injured after accident in Bow; troopers are searching for a German Shepherd that fled the scene; the dog was last seen on Route 3A.
BOW, NH — A Rhode Island man and a female passenger were treated at Concord Hospital earlier this afternoon after a crash on the southbound side of I-93, according to New Hampshire State Police.
At just after 4 p.m. on July 23, 2016, state troopers and Concord and Bow Fire and Rescue teams were sent to a report of a pickup truck crashing in Bow. According to state police, the driver of the truck – a 21-year-old man from Block Island, RI – reportedly fell asleep at the wheel and lost control of the of the truck. The truck rolled over and then crashed into a tree.
The driver was injured and needed to be extricated from the truck, according to state police. A female passenger was also injured. Both were transported to Concord Hospital.

A German Shepherd named “Loto” ran from the scene, according to Sgt. William Graham of the NHSP. Several people attempted to catch the dog but were unsuccessful. It was last seen running in the industrial area off Route 3A in Bow, he noted.
