Rochester 9-12 Leader, Others Endorse Testerman

Conservative activist touts new list of people supporting her 2014 Senate campaign.

The former head of Cornerstone Action hopes the latest list of activists endorsing her Senate campaign, including a major Tea Party leader in the state of New Hampshire, will help boost her campaign in a crowded field of Republican candidates hoping to face off against incumbent U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-NH, this November.

Jerry DeLemus, the head of the Rochester 9-12 Tea Party organization who is back in the state after going to Nevada to check out the Clive Bundy federal land stand-off endorsed Testerman on Monday saying she always “tell you the truth even at times when it may be hard to accept” adding that she has worked “tirelessly to improve our State as well as our Nation.”

In a letter he wrote, "Occasionally we have the rare opportunity to vote for a person seeking office for the right reasons, not for ego or position, but truly dedicate their time to better our country. Karen Testerman is that person. If you are one of those that complain about the direction America is headed, then quit voting for the same smooth speaking candidates. Change the direction and support Karen for the United States Senate as I am gratefully doing.”

Late last week, former state Rep. Robert J. Giuda, R-Warren, also backed Testerman, according to a statement.

“In choosing a candidate during this difficult time in our history, I look for someone whose words and deeds reflect those bedrock values; who defends those values regardless of the shifting winds of political expediency; and who will sustain those values in the heat of political battle when the soul of a nation is at stake. After much reflection and without reservation, it is my distinct honor and privilege to endorse Karen Testerman for U.S. Senate.”
