Seasonal Roadwork Nearly Complete

Sewer mains will be lined in the North End of Concord, Loudon Road.

Entering into the month of December isn’t stopping local contractors from finishing up roadwork in Concord.

According to City Manager Tom Aspell, seasonal work on the Route 3 Corridor Project continues, with the contractor focusing on “housekeeping and punch list items.” Traffic delays on North State Street are expected to be minor but commuters may see them between Dolan Street and .

Signal foundations will soon be installed at the intersection of Manchester Street and Airport Road but the lights won’t be put in until Spring, according to Aspell. The inbound right turn lane has been striped. Speed has also been reduced to 30 mph. Pavement is also finished on Broken Bridge Road. Utilities will be constructing new poles in the area during the winter months.

Minor sidewalk repairs and other items will be fixed and cleaned up on North Spring Street. Parking restrictions will be minimal, according to Aspell.

Sewer mains will also be lined on Walker, Rumford, and Mill streets, as well as Loudon Road this week. There will be minor pedestrian, crosswalk, and traffic issues and delays while the work is being done.
