Spireside Coffeehouse and Open Mic to feature Sarah Jane Nelson on Saturday, September 19th. Sarah is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist who has been playing traditional music for folk festivals, New England contra dances, and other regional events for over two decades. She is an old-time fiddler, guitarist and vocalist with the duo High-Strung Strummers, a member of Banjos & Old Lace, and the pianist for Gypsy Minor, a dance band that is regularly featured at both the New England Folk Festival and the Down East Folk Festival each spring. The Spireside is held in the Dunbarton Church Vestry at 6 Stark Highway North. Open Mic signups begin at 7:00 PM welcoming musicians, poets and storytellers.
