CONCORD, NH — New Hampshire Lottery officials expect Saturday’s Powerball jackpot to be around $1.4 billion, the third-largest Powerball win in history and the fourth-highest lottery ever.

The last time anyone won Powerball was late July when a California player purchased a $1 billion jackpot. If a winning ticket is purchased, the one-time cash payout, before taxes, will be around $643.7 million, according to Charlie McIntyre, the lottery's executive director lottery.

“The beat goes on, and here at the New Hampshire Lottery, we love the beat of this now-$1.4 billion Powerball jackpot,” he said. “There has been no stopping the rise of the Powerball jackpot this week, and we are on the edge of our seats waiting for a winner.”
