The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) NH District Office staff and NH Small Business Development Center (NH SBDC) recently traveled to Merrimack County to outreach to local businesses owners and local economic development officials. The first visit was at 9Round Fitness, a franchise kickboxing fitness gym located in a small studio but large enough to get an extreme 30-minute workout, well- equipped with weight stations and fitness trainers to assist clients with instruction and motivation. SBA staff then stopped by Copper Beech Winery, a small winery nestled in the woods close to scenic Lake Massabesic where they make delicious award winning wines from fresh fruit for guests to sample and purchase. According to owner Lin, “Each small batch of wine is hand crafted in house with patience and attention to detail.”
Then the SBA traveled to two home-based small businesses, Teaching Totes and Nature Education Opportunities. Teaching Totes supplies toy and learning activity rental boxes to local parents which takes the guess work out of educating their young child at home and to make toy rotation an option enriching a child’s early childhood experience. According to business owner Marisa, pickup and delivery service is available as well as on-line instruction and guidance.
Nature Education Opportunities, owner Kelly is a certified wellness coach who helps all ages connect with nature through workshops and programs to reduce stress, improve health, and embrace a more mindful approach to life and learning. Included was a visit to our NH SBA 2022 District Award Winner, Your Oil Tools an aromatherapy retail and e-commerce supply store. Owner Steve is also SCORE mentor who supports others that are trying to start
