Screening of "Intelligent Lives" preview--new documentary by Dan Habib

Join Dan Habib and several engaging co-presenters at a special event on Wednesday, March 30th, from 5-6:30 pm at Red River Theatres in Concord for a 14-minute preview of his new documentary film, "Intelligent Lives" (working title), followed by a discussion of the issues addressed in this project.

Along with the screening of the film preview, Dan will discuss the educational, social, and historical foundations of this new film project, and then:

-Micah Fialka-Feldman (Syracuse University student and teacher) will share how he advocated his way out of segregated special education, fought to live in a college dorm, and took a leap of faith in moving to Syracuse, NY.

-Patricia Lampron (principal of the Henderson School, Dorchester, MA) will talk about the educational strategies she uses to lead a fully inclusive high school.

-Jamaal Shaheed (whose son Naieer – a high school student at Henderson – is featured in the film) will discuss how he and his wife have supported Naieer’s academic and artistic success.
