Senate Democratic Leader Announces Staff Changes
State Sen. Jeff Woodburn hires former House Chief of Staff Ryan Mahoney.

Senate Democratic Leader Jeff Woodburn announced yesterday that he has hired former House Chief of Staff Ryan Mahoney as Senate Democratic Policy Director, the senior democratic staff position.
Mahoney, of Manchester, previously served as House Chief of Staff under Speaker Terie Norelli during the 2013-2014 biennium.
“I am pleased to announce that Ryan Mahoney will be serving as the Democratic Policy Director,” said Senator Woodburn. “Ryan has the skills, experience, and personal temperament to support me and my Democratic colleagues, to ensure that the hard-earned, bipartisan accomplishments of the previous session are preserved, and to work with everyone to get things done for New Hampshire.”

Mahoney replaces outgoing Policy Director Matt Robison, who is leaving for the private sector.
“Matt did an outstanding job for us on issues from private health coverage expansion to energy siting, and we will miss his wise counsel,” said Woodburn. “And at the same time, we are thrilled to have such a capable and experienced new adviser join our staff.”
