Serious Weather Warnings Issued For New Hampshire
Breaking: Tornado, flooding, and flash flood alerts were issued by forecasters for most of New Hampshire on Sunday.

GRAY, ME — Weather forecasters have issued several hazardous weather alerts warning Granite Staters of high winds, heavy rains, and possible tornadoes on Sunday.
After a strong storm system moved into the region, including thunderstorms with heavy rain, forecasters warned of possible flooding, including flash flooding, in the late morning and early afternoon. Expected rainfall, alerts said, was in the 2- to 3-inch range.
“Multiple rounds of torrential showers are anticipated tonight,” one flood alert stated. “There is increasing confidence that locally considerable impacts are possible for areas with repeating activity. Highest threat areas are those that have been recently affected by heavy rain as well as highly sloped, fast-responding small streams in the mountains.”

The flash flooding was warned to be “life-threatening,” including causing creeks and streams to flood and slippery Interstates, including I-93, I-89, and I-95.
“Turn around,” the National Weather Service said in one alert while warning about puddles and water in roadways, “don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.”
