Sex Offender Found With Loaded Syringe, Pot At Motel: Cops
Jeffrey Allen of Manchester, a felonious sexual assaulter, was arrested at the Firebird Motel in Hooksett Saturday on multiple charges.

HOOKSETT, NH — A New Hampshire sex offender was arrested on multiple charges Saturday night after allegedly being found with an active warrant for allegedly failing to register with police as well as drug possession. Jeffrey Allen, 51, of Manchester, was arrested on Aug. 5, 2017, and charged with obstructing government administration, resisting arrest or detention, two counts of possession of drugs-marijuana, heroin, and a warrant out of Hillsborough County. At just before 9 p.m., an officer in the parking lot of the Firebird Motel reportedly made contact with a man named Jack, according to Sgt. David Scarpino of the Hooksett Police Department.

The officer eyed the motel’s room check-in logs and found that the man was actually Allen. The officer ran a dispatch check and found that Allen had an active felony warrant out of Hillsborough County Superior Court-North for failure to register as a sex offender. According to the state of New Hampshire, Allen was convicted of felonious sexual assault on a child under 13 in November 2000.
“Hooksett Police along with the assistance of Manchester Police attempted to make contact at the room where Allen was last seen going into but he refused to exit the room,” Scarpino said. “A search warrant was applied for and granted to make entry into the room to take Allen into custody.”

After arresting Allen, police requested a second search warrant for the motel room. After securing the warrant and searching the room, police allegedly found marijuana and a loaded syringe, believed to have heroin in it, according to a report.
Allen refused bail and was transported to the Merrimack County House of Corrections.
Allen’s criminal history includes shoplifting convictions in 1986, 2006, and 2008, as well as a theft by deception charge (under $1,000) last year. In 2011, he was convicted of receiving stolen property. He was also previously convicted of duty to inform in February 2005 as well as mischief and threat charges in October 2008. He violation his probation or parole in July 2002. In the 1990s, he was convicted of mischief and controlled drug purchase.
