The Fugitive of the Week feature “produced numerous tips on the possible location of Todd, throughout the Concord area,” according to Deputy Marshal Jeffrey White.
“Most recently, these tips to the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force were pointing to the Penacook area,” White stated. “Fortunately, on Monday, another sharp-eyed tipster spotted Todd in the area of the Hannah Dustin Bridge in Boscawen and contacted the Boscawen Police Department. Boscawen officers responded to the area and located the described person, at which time he identified himself as ‘Todd Sweeney.’”
After some research and questioning, police were able to positively identify the man as Todd. He allegedly confessed to his true identity, stating, “Do you think I’m going to give my real name, when I’ve been wanted for a year?”
Todd was arrested and transported to the Merrimack County House of Corrections where he is being held on charges.
“Thank you to the Boscawen Police Department, for locating and arresting Todd after his 10 months on the run,” said U.S. Marshal David Cargill Jr. “Our local police officers are working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help make all of us safer, and we greatly appreciate the work they do every day!”
Todd, according to a post on Concord NH Patch, was arrested for burglary in August 2011 and was later convicted. He was out on parole at the time that the New Hampshire Department of Corrections issued a warrant for his arrest for alleged parole violations.
