Shoplifting Incident Leads to Drug Charge on Storrs Street

Manchester woman allegedly possessed "unknown" pills.

CONCORD, NH — A woman faces charges in Sixth Circuit District Court after an alleged theft incident at the D’Lisle Designer Resale Store on May 12.

Maria A. Moriarty, 28, of Manchester, was charged with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

Police allege that Moriarty stole a Coach Patchwork purse valued at $69, at around 11 a.m. in the Storrs Street store.

During the process of being arrested, police also alleged she possessed 14 doses of unknown pills. They then subsequently charged her with one count of possession of prescription drugs without a prescription.

Personal recognizance bail was set at $4,000.

Moriarty is due in on June 18.
